Functional Safety Engineer
Kraków (hybrid)
The Functional Safety Engineer is responsible for developing customer safety requirements, translating stakeholder safety requirements into functional safety concepts and product specifications, supporting safety analyses, and ensuring compliance testing for power electronics inverters.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to evaluate safety goals and functional safety requirements, and define safety concepts for power electronics inverter controllers.
- Conduct risk and safety analyses.
- Develop detailed technical safety requirements for product safety compliance.
- Design technical safety concepts for power electronics controllers, including system architecture.
- Coordinate and align technical safety concepts with customers and oversee their integration into the developed product.
- Assist in creating and monitoring product functional test plans for compliance testing.
- Support and track functional testing of products on test benches and in vehicles.
- Facilitate and monitor customer test and validation programs.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s or Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Preferably, experience with Automotive Electronics Control Units.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 product development processes.
- Expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, definition, and management, including experience with tools like Polarion and development process models like A-SPICE.
- Proficiency in safety analysis methodologies, including SFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and Software Freedom from Interference.
- Strong understanding of both hardware and software fundamentals.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Well-organized, structured, and detail-oriented work style.
