Fixed Assets Accountant with German
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the accounting and depreciation of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and inventory checks
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (HGB) and international accounting principles (IFRS)
- Record, verify, and balance fixed asset entries within SAP
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to fixed assets
- Perform regular reconciliation and ensure accuracy of fixed asset accounts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounts Payable, Controlling) to facilitate data flow and address discrepancies
- Provide audit support and assist in developing detailed reports on fixed asset status and valuations
- Identify areas for process improvement in asset management and implement efficient solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in fixed asset accounting or general ledger roles
- Proficiency in German (B2 level or higher) and English
- Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of local and international accounting standards (HGB, IFRS) will be an asset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support cross-functional initiatives
