GL Accountant – VAT & Reporting

 

Here are some of the things you can look forward to:

  • Be responsible for the VAT accounting and perform on a monthly basis the reconciliations  and the clearing of the VAT accounts.
  • Collaborate and solve issues with different parties (Indirect Tax, Accounts Payable & Receivable) to ensure VAT entries are accurate and correct in GL.
  • Participate in month-end GL close procedures, including balance sheet reviews, flux analysis, quarterly close entries, FX reporting.
  • Provide support on the day-to-day accounting of a number of holding entities, assist with month-end close procedures and reconciliations for these entities.
  • Support the team on GL related issues, statutory compliance and financial statements, and projects.
  • Support any audit requirement request and working closely with different teams to ensure full compliance to regulations and policies.

You are the right person for the role if you:

  • Hold at least bachelor’s degree in finance, economy, business or related field or any equivalent combination of education,
  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with a large, multinational company.
  • Familiar with monthly GL close process and statutory financial statement preparation.
  • Knowledge of financial systems: basic accounting in Oracle ERP and Microsoft office programs are essential.
  • Fluent in English (writing, reading and understanding).
  • Basic understanding of VAT in Europe.
