Grid Project Specialist/Manager

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grid Project Specialist/Manager to join the team and oversee grid-related activities for PV and biogas projects. This position is focused on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders involved in grid interconnection, transmission planning, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for utility companies, grid operators, regulatory agencies, and other external stakeholders involved in grid interconnection processes.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate open communication, resolve issues, and address concerns related to grid integration.
  • Coordinate with utility companies and grid operators to navigate the interconnection process for PV and biogas projects, from initial application to final interconnection approval.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and negotiations to address grid connection requirements, timelines, and cost-sharing agreements.
  • Collaborate with grid operators and transmission planners to develop long-term strategies for integrating renewable energy into the grid.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations, policies, and market rules governing grid interconnection and renewable energy integration.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting obligations related to grid operations, renewable energy credits, and grid services.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including project development, engineering, and finance, to coordinate grid-related activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Provide input and support for project planning, site selection, and permitting processes to optimize grid integration outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, environmental studies, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, or regulatory affairs within the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of electricity markets, grid operations, and regulatory frameworks governing renewable energy integration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
