Client’s profile: A worldwide leader in providing cutting-edge and sustainable mobility solutions for the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop mechanical development engineering teams
- Build a high-performance regional team in Europe, fostering growth and expertise.
- Represent the company at trade shows and client meetings related to mechanical drivetrain systems.
- Present the company at conferences and assist Sales and Solution Centers with business development.
- Manage and oversee team budgets and resource allocation.
- Work with teams to continuously improve processes, methods, and tools, ensuring a lean and efficient approach.
- Drive structured problem-solving and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- Ensure that teams design and document mechanical systems and components in line with process requirements, delivering on performance, durability, and manufacturability.
- Develop and maintain mechanical lab infrastructure and ensure a safe working environment.
- Foster an open, collaborative team culture and promote strong global cooperation with other mechanical engineering teams and departments.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering functions and departments (e.g., Supply Management, Quality, Project Management) to ensure smooth product launches.
- Prepare and present product status reports and organizational development plans to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design and development, ideally within the automotive or related industries.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams for at least 3 years in R&D facility
- Familiarity with global organizations and experience in managing budgets and resources.
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience coaching teams to achieve high performance.
- English C1 level
