Problem Resolution Engineer

Location: Cracow (hybrid )

 

 

For our client, a global leader in sustainable mobility solutions for the automotive industry, we are looking for a Problem Resolution Engineer to oversee engineering initiatives that address product issues at every stage of its lifecycle. This role focuses on the development of power electronics inverters within the automotive industry and necessitates close collaboration with Project Leads, teamwork with engineering groups, and ongoing communication with customers

Responsibilities:

·       Foster effective communication channels and build strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.

·       Serve as the main point of contact for defect status updates, bridging the engineering team at the customer site with the project team.

·       Develop and oversee strategies for managing issues and defects within the project.

·       Conduct thorough analyses of product defects and plan corrective measures.

·       Monitor and document progress in resolving defects.

·       Prioritize and categorize defects based on urgency and impact.

·       Close out defect reports, identifying and analyzing problem patterns.

·       Assess the impact of issues on the project’s timeline and objectives.

·       Assist the project team in investigating root causes and maintain a repository of lessons learned.

 

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Software Engineering; Master’s degree in a related technical field is preferred.

·       Automotive industry experience with progressive responsibility, particularly in Systems Engineering.

·       Strong familiarity with the software development lifecycle.

·       Demonstrated ability to perform well under high-stress conditions.

·       Proficient in analytical and problem-solving techniques, with expertise in methodologies such as DFMEA, FMEA, FMEDA, 8-D, and FTA analysis.

·       Background knowledge in power electronics, electric motors, and control systems is advantageous.

·       Familiarity with project management and defect-tracking tools, such as Polarion, JIRA, or similar.

·       Experience working with A-SPICE standards.

·       Experience working with diverse teams across multiple regions and cultures.

·       Proficiency in English, with additional skills in German and/or French considered a plus.
