Senior Accountant with English 
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Client’s Global Shared Services Center in Gdańsk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is ready to take ownership, contribute ideas, and drive improvements in a dynamic international environment.

Office attendance: 2 days per month in the office 
Type of contract: Full-time | Employment contract

 
Responsibilities:
  • Timely and accurate booking of general ledger transactions.
  • Monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Managing and reconciling fixed assets, as well as intangible assets.
  • Performing month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, FX valuation, cost allocation, intercompany settlements, and financial reporting to the Group.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements.
  • Preparing tax declarations.
  • Coordinating and supporting cooperation with internal and external auditors.
  • Providing support to the team regarding accounting processes and complex accounting matters.
  • Reviewing the work of junior accountants.
  • Implementing improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and actively participating in client meetings.
  • Taking an active role or leading projects within the Shared Services Center.
 
Requirements:
  • University degree in Finance/Economics preferred. If not finance-related, completion of SKwP courses (minimum Level II) required; a certificate for keeping accounting books is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years in an Accountant/Senior Accountant role.
  • Experience in preparing tax declarations, financial statements, and working with auditors.
  • Experience from SSC is welcome, but in-house accounting experience is also valued.
  • A solid understanding of tax legislation, accounting standards, and other applicable financial regulations is essential for this role.
  • Analytical mindset, flexibility, proactiveness, strong attention to detail.
  • Independence, strong organizational skills, ability to work in a team, and ability to work under time pressure.
  • English – minimum B2.
