Senior Accounting Expert – Banking Systems
As a Senior Accounting Expert, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Business, IT, and project teams, ensuring that accounting principles and standards are correctly applied in the new system. You will provide expert support throughout the system implementation process.
Key responsibilities:
- Define accounting requirements for the new system, including chart of accounts, accounting schemes, and treatment of banking products.

Provide expert guidance on accounting for banking products, treasury operations, back-office processes, and reporting.

Review and provide accounting and reporting opinions on new banking products.

Support the project team in system testing and validation.

Identify accounting or system issues, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with Polish Accounting Act (UoR) and IFRS / IAS.

Act as a business partner for project teams, contributing to decisions and ensuring accounting correctness.
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who:
- Has several years of experience in banking accounting.

Possesses strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including UoR and IFRS / IAS.

Understands accounting treatment for banking products, treasury operations, financial, regulatory, and management reporting.

Has prior experience supporting system implementations or major accounting system changes (hands-on involvement is a plus).

Is independent, proactive, and capable of defining solutions and sharing expertise.

Works confidently in a dynamic, project-driven environment.

Fluent in English (spoken and written) for collaboration in an international environment.
