Project description:
A new initiative aimed at identifying and engaging accessibility experts for consulting support. Responsibilities include conducting digital accessibility audits, providing guidance and training to internal teams, and contributing to client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary accessibility expert across multiple projects.

  • Conduct detailed accessibility assessments and provide recommendations in line with WCAG 2.1/2.2 and legal frameworks (e.g., ADA, EAA).

  • Define accessibility standards and support the creation of internal design systems and guidelines.

  • Promote accessibility awareness internally and with clients, including participating in pre-sales and proposal activities.

  • Identify suitable tools and methodologies for both automated and manual accessibility testing.

  • Deliver training and mentorship to teams on best practices in accessibility.

  • Stay informed about emerging standards, regulations, and assistive technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in digital accessibility engineering and consulting.

  • In-depth knowledge of WCAG, WAI-ARIA, and relevant accessibility legislation (e.g., ADA, Section 508, EAA).

  • Proven experience in conducting accessibility audits and implementations, backed by documented projects or case studies.

  • Proficiency with testing tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, WAVE, NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS, or similar.

  • Strong manual auditing and screen reader testing skills.

  • Experience collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex accessibility issues in a clear and actionable manner.

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks.

  • IAAP certification (e.g., CPACC, WAS, CPWA) preferred.

  • Consulting or pre-sales experience in accessibility services.
