Cryptography & PKI Engineer

Location: Kraków (on-site 6 times per month)

Contract type: B2B

Rate: 200–220 PLN/h

Work model: Hybrid

Role overview:

We are looking for an experienced Cryptography & PKI Engineer to join our engineering team responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining solutions related to PKI, certificate management, and process automation. The role combines elements of software engineering, infrastructure, and security, with opportunities to grow towards development, testing, or deployment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing technical documentation, including Design & Implementation documents, Test Specifications, and reports.

  • Supporting deployment and maintenance of PKI and certificate management solutions.

  • Collaborating with development, testing, and infrastructure teams.

  • Participating in release management processes and the full SDLC lifecycle.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in drafting technical documentation and software testing.

  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

  • Strong knowledge of PKI, certificates, Certificate Authorities, and Registration Authorities.

  • Experience with automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, Python, Splunk, Postman.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD and release management tools: GitHub, Jenkins.

  • Experience working with databases, especially Microsoft SQL.

  • Understanding of IAM concepts: RBAC, Privileged Access Management.

  • Experience with ITSM tools and processes (e.g., ServiceNow, incident and change management).

  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure: VMware, Windows/Linux environments, networks, firewalls.

  • Ability to work independently with clearly defined milestones.

  • Proactive mindset and willingness to improve existing processes.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Venafi TPP, including SSH key discovery.

  • Background in large organizations, preferably in the financial sector.
