📍 Location: Kraków, Poland (hybrid - 6 days per month in the office)
📄 B2B Contract: 180 - 230 PLN / hour

We are looking for a Kotlin / Java Developer to join an international project delivered for a large organization within the financial services sector. The team is building an internal engineering platform that supports development teams in managing software development standards, quality controls and compliance across the organization.

This role involves working on modern web applications and APIs built with Kotlin and Java, based on a microservices architecture. The scope of responsibilities will be adjusted to the candidate’s experience and technical profile.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers, testers and business stakeholders to build and operate internal products.

  • Design, develop and implement backend features and selected UI components according to backlog priorities.

  • Build and maintain APIs and microservices that address real business and engineering challenges.

  • Work closely with the wider engineering team to design and deliver new features.

  • Proactively engage with internal users to resolve issues and respond to feature requests.

  • Contribute within an Agile, CI/CD-driven environment enabling frequent and stable releases.

  • Participate in code reviews and support quality through testing, including automated test scripts.


Requirements:

  • Commercial experience with Kotlin, or Java with a strong willingness to learn Kotlin.

  • Hands-on experience in at least 2 of the following areas: API development, SQL / databases, HTML / JavaScript.

  • Experience working with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

  • English proficiency at B2+ level.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline design.

  • Knowledge of test automation practices.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.

  • Background in system administration (Linux / AIX / WAS).
