Cybersecurity DevSecOps Tech Consultant
Location: Warsaw or Kraków (preferred)
Contract type: B2B
Work model: Hybrid (6 days per month onsite)
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity DevSecOps Tech Consultant to support the transformation and security of enterprise-scale technology platforms within a global financial environment.
This position focuses on enabling secure-by-design practices, improving engineering standards, and integrating cybersecurity tools across complex systems. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with a strategic mindset and has a passion for continuous improvement and cross-team collaboration.
Key responsibilities

Promote a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement across cybersecurity and technology teams

Provide technical leadership and support Agile project delivery

Improve observability, monitoring, and automation of cybersecurity services

Ensure infrastructure security through patching, vulnerability remediation, and configuration control

Define and promote best practices for secrets management, logging, and secure code development

Support integration of cybersecurity tools with platforms and infrastructure
-
Act as a subject matter expert for hosting platforms and cybersecurity applications

Lead innovation initiatives (pilots, proof of concepts)

Prepare teams for upcoming changes in controls, tools, and ways of working

Support accurate sprint, epic, and release planning

Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs across security and IT

Write and maintain technical documentation

Ensure compliance with internal security and change management standards

Mentor and guide team members in technical and procedural areas
Required skills and experience

5+ years in DevOps or infrastructure roles within Agile environments

Strong experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving change

Demonstrated expertise in some of the following areas:

Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)

CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, Git)

Monitoring and logging (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics)

Secrets management (e.g., Vault)

Linux and Windows administration
-
Containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud)

Enterprise networking, firewalls, and secure architecture

Experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services)

Strong documentation and communication skills

Familiarity with Python, ServiceNow, and ITIL is a plus
