For an FMCG client, we are seeking an International Head of eCommerce to define and execute the global eCommerce vision across Online Retail, Brand Stores, and Marketplaces. This role carries full responsibility for driving sustainable growth, profitability, and innovation while building a best-in-class international eCommerce organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and continuously evolve the global eCommerce strategy across all digital sales channels
  • Act as a cultural role model, fostering a strong, values-driven mindset across international eCommerce teams
  • Lead and develop senior leaders responsible for Online Retail, Brand Stores, and Marketplaces through coaching, feedback, and tailored development plans
  • Deliver on global revenue, growth, and profitability targets through impactful strategic initiatives
  • Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and digital innovations within global eCommerce
  • Build and manage a strong international ecosystem of strategic partners and platforms
  • Drive large-scale transformation and change initiatives across the eCommerce organization
  • Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (Marketing, IT, Logistics, Product, Sales) to ensure a fully integrated omnichannel approach
  • Track market dynamics and competitive activity, translating insights into clear strategic recommendations
  • Own long-term resource allocation and budget planning for international eCommerce operations
  • Report directly to the Leadership Board, providing transparency on performance, strategy, and key programs
  • Champion customer-centric digital strategies, using data and insights to optimize the end-to-end customer journey
  • Align internal and external stakeholders globally to ensure flawless execution of strategic eCommerce initiatives

 

Profile & Experience

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related discipline
  • Strong track record in designing and executing global eCommerce strategies
  • Proven cross-channel expertise (assortment, pricing, promotions, communication, portfolio management)
  • Highly developed analytical, strategic, and conceptual capabilities
  • Extensive experience leading and developing international leadership teams
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills at C-level
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • High intercultural competence and readiness for international travel
  • Experience in FMCG, ideally covering both B2B and B2C business models
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
