The candidate will join the cost monitoring department, where will be responsible for preparing reports, analyzing financial data, controlling local accounting, supporting budgeting and monitoring investment projects. The role also includes close cooperation with local accounting and cost control in Belgium and France, as well as improving processes in the team.
The candidate will join the cost monitoring team with responsibilities for:
- Budget control over commitments and invoices
- Ongoing monitoring of local accounting entries
- Preparing reports: external reports (for accounting in France and Belgium) and internal reports (budget analysis and actual expenses by entity and cost)
- Collecting and consolidating accounting data
- Extracting, verifying, and sending commitments to accounting tools for generating accruals in accounting systems
- Managing open purchase orders / accruals
- Updating and documenting processes
Requirements:
- Min. 1 year of experience in the accounting/ cost control departments
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles (such as accruals, invoice verification, capitalization, amortization, and the distinction between P&L and balance sheet)
- Proficiency in English and French is required
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
