(Junior) Cost Controller with French

The candidate will join the cost monitoring team with responsibilities for:
- Performing budget controls on commitments and invoices
- Conducting ongoing control of local accounting entries
- Producing reports: external reports for local accounting (France and Belgium), internal reports (budget and actual expenses by entity and cost)
- Collecting and centralizing data from accounting
- Extracting, controlling, and sending commitments to accounting tools to generate accruals in accounting systems
- Managing open purchase orders / accruals
- Updating and documenting processes
Requirements:
- Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental accounting principles (such as accruals, invoice verification, capitalization, amortization, and the distinction between P&L and balance sheet)
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English and French is required
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting/ cost control. Experience in an international setting is beneficial.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret accounting data and articulate the narrative behind the numbers
- Team Collaboration: Inclusive approach with strong relationship-building abilities
- Resilience: Ability to reflect on and learn from mistakes and setbacks
- Excel Proficiency: Competence in using complex formulas
- Power Query: Familiarity with Power Query is advantageous
