Responsibilities:

  • Verifying the accuracy of settlement amounts, recipients, and account settings.
  • Identifying, recording, and presenting transactions related to both incoming and outgoing reinsurance contracts, including preparing accounting entries.
  • Collaborating with internal and external reinsurance partners.
  • Ensuring the completeness of accounting data and the timely preparation and delivery of reinsurance information for quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as forecasting and planning processes.
  • Preparing technical documentation related to reinsurance contracts and developing reports, statistical data, and presentations for informational and analytical purposes.
  • Creating and developing reinsurance data management systems to optimize interfaces, database configurations, and reports, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
  • Managing and participating in both internal and cross-departmental accounting projects.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of English (B2/C1 level) and good command of German (B1 level).
  • University degree in economics, specializing in financial accounting, auditing, insurance, financial mathematics, or financial informatics.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting regulations for insurance companies, both national and international (HGB, IFRS, Solvency II).
  • Familiarity with IT tools (e.g., SAP, FS-RI, SV, SAS, SAVIR) and programming skills (MS Excel, MS Access, VBA, SQL), as well as practical experience in designing and implementing IT solutions and managing projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and communicate complex accounting issues both verbally and in writing.
  • High level of commitment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as independence and responsibility in action.
