GL Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Oversee financial and accounting operations in close collaboration with finance and GBS teams

• Focus on balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of journal entries

• Identify and resolve discrepancies during period close; maintain accurate balances

• Optimize existing accounting processes in coordination with stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with defined KPIs/OPIs, internal policies, statutory requirements, and GAAP standards

• Support internal and external audits, including SOX and other compliance audits

• Apply LEAN methodologies to improve process efficiency and effectiveness

• Maintain and update financial process documentation (desktop procedures)

• Proactively contribute to process improvement and standardization initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting, Business Economics, or related field

• 1–3 years of experience in General Ledger accounting or a similar role

• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)

• Experience with SAP; knowledge of Hyperion, Cadency, or SAP S/4HANA is a strong asset

• Strong communication skills and relationship-building attitude
