Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join ESG Data Team. The ideal candidate will come from a Data Analytics or Data Platform background and will lead initiatives focused on enhancing data ingestion processes, data products, data quality frameworks, and integrations with key platforms such as Google Cloud and Hadoop.
In this role, you will work closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Elicit and analyse requirements using appropriate techniques, including interviews, document analysis, workshops, and business process/workflow analysis.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope and detailed requirements.

Work closely with the Pod Delivery Manager to communicate project progress, estimates, and updates to stakeholders and senior management, preparing documentation and presentations as needed.

Support projects with analysis, testing, organisational, and project administration activities.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery using Agile methodologies.

Gather, analyse, manipulate, and document data, translating business needs into clear technical specifications for data engineers.

Ensure all requirements, process flows, and solution designs are clearly documented and traceable throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Promote and adhere to data governance standards, incorporating data definitions, lineage, and quality considerations into project deliverables.

Produce high-quality documentation, including business requirements documents, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, process flows, and user guides, maintaining consistent standards across technology solutions.
Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience delivering technically focused Business Analysis services within change initiatives involving multiple internal and/or external stakeholders.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage audiences of varying levels of business and technical understanding and seniority.

Solid understanding of ESG data and the broader data lifecycle.

Experience working within an Agile technology delivery environment.

Experience designing solutions that integrate third-party data sources.

Familiarity with data platforms such as Google Cloud, Hadoop, or similar environments is a strong advantage.
