VP Project Finance – renewable energy sector

 

The VP Project Finance will be based in Warsaw and will be responsible for executing the company’s financing strategy and commitments in Poland and other countries as determined by the Head of Project Finance – Europe, working effectively in a cross-functional team. The role will require the ability to coordinate with business development team in Poland and to structure and close debt transactions to finance  renewable assets, principally on a non-recourse basis.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure delivery of the company’s Project Finance goals in country
  • Develop and maintain bank, advisor and capital market relationships in Project Finance; keeping abreast of the market and seeking innovative solutions to maintain a competitive position
  • Work effectively with other functions.
  • Deliver a country project financing strategy in line with the European strategy, setting and meeting annual goals, originating and implementing financing transactions in support of new project development, M&A and asset optimization opportunities

 

Key Competencies:

  • Proven track record (6 years+) of leading non-recourse project financings on either the project sponsor or lender side
  • Demonstrated creativity in structuring and closing challenging transactions
  • Familiarity with bank, institutional, and government-sponsored lenders and terms; also familiarity with Poland’s power market, regulatory environment, and emerging trends
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to close financing transactions as well as hands-on familiarity with financial models and negotiating documents
  • Technically up to date and well-informed on financing terms, documentation, and execution process
  • Master's degree
  • MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus
  • Fluent English and Polish
